47 km- the new film to be released:

There have been a lot of movies which have been released as satirical plots. Choosing humour as a medium to convey the sad condition of politics in India is one way of expressing the sorry scenario. There have been a lot of serious and sad movies in these genres- all of them exposing the brutal truth of our political system. We often hear every citizen complaining that the nation isn’t moving ahead. But we don’t see many people do much about it. The directors who take it in a stride to do something about the corruption are brave. Director Shadab Khan is someone who is taking things into his hands.

Shadab speaks out:

He has been a resident of Uttar Pradesh, and he has seen a lot of prostitution and drug racquets when he was growing up there. Few of such cases even didn’t catch the higher authority’s eye. There were illegal weapons being distributed too. Hence he decided to make a movie about these incidents. He wanted the world to know about what happens under covers. Of course this is one of the bravest things he could have done. There is need to awaken the citizens, and cinema could be the best media to do so.

On speaking about corruption he says that Uttar Pradesh is about 47KM away from the capital Delhi, and if this is the case of law and order there, then what is happening in the interiors of the country is even beyond imagination. The film will be an eye opener and a must watch for all citizens. We definitely need to know what is happening behind the curtains. In the film industry Anees Bazmee has shown considerable excitement about the movie and so has Kabir Khan. Now we are equally intrigued by the movie. Best of luck to the team!
