Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Conferred with the ‘Woman of Substance’ Title
Though the legendary beauty does not need any award or approval to prove her talent and contribution to the Indian cinema, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, every bit deserved the title of ‘Woman of Substance’, which was bestowed on her by the Bunts Sangha, Pune.
Belonging to the Bunt community of Karnataka, the ex-Miss World received the title on April 7 at an event organized by the aforementioned community. She also inaugurated Buntera Bhavana the same day. The gorgeous actress has made India proud time and again with her feats and talent; this title only adding more feathers to her already fluttering cap.
Padma Shri awardee, Aishwarya also happens to be the first Indian woman to be honoured with the French honor Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres (Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters). The humble soul has not let stardom and success get to her head and instead, has always believed in giving back to the society in more than one way.
Considered the global icon, Mrs. Bachchan is one of the most influential celebs in India. But what makes her truly deserving of such a title is the manner in which she conducts herself. Despite being regarded as an epitome of beauty and grace, the Bachchan bahu has preferred to stay grounded and let her work make the noise. She is a part of many charities including UNAIDS, CPAA, Smile Train Foundation, Eye Donation, and Polio besides others.
Last seen in KJo’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Aishwarya is now busy shooting for Fanne Khan, in which she gets to share the screen space with Anil Kapoor after twenty long years.
Here’s sending our heartiest congratulations to the ‘Woman of Substance’ who is not just a gift to the Indian cinema but is also a role model for many women. Cheers!
