Bollywood movies that ran into trouble before being released

Bollywood movies that ran into trouble before being released:

The Indian viewers have a terrible habit of getting into a brawl before even watching the movie. There have been movies that have faced serious action before being released. We all know what happened to the movie Padmaavat, and what consequences it had. The number of lives challenged, and killed, jut because some people had preconceived notions about the movie, which weren’t even true. In fact, the group of activists who had lodged a complaint, later withdrew the complaint. Such a disaster- that too on the basis of nothing.

John Abraham’s Satyamev Jayate in trouble:

John’s movie has released the trailer recently. Now, a reputed BJP leader has filed a complaint that the Muharram procession has been shown in bad light in the trailer. The scene depicts Matam, or self flagellation, after which, the actor commits murder. This has hurt the sentiments of the Muslim community. He has commanded the Censor Board to delete the scene completely, else they will face consequences. They have also vouched that the movie may be stalled. It will die in its inception itself.

This isn’t the first time for John:

John’s previous movie Parmanu was in legal troubles, but that was a Bollywood internal dispute. The dispute between the production houses caused this. That matter was solved by John himself. Now this recent trouble regarding the leader has caused upheaval. The involvement of politics deepens the graveness of the complaint. Although the movies keep declaring that they have no intention to hurt anybody’s sentiments, people keep relating to the cinema and believe in the alternate reality that is created. Maybe that is the real power of the movies- to create a believable world for its viewers. Thus with great power comes great responsibility, and we hope that the movie sees a smooth release.
