Kedarnath movie review

Kedarnath movie review:

We’ve all seen the trailer and the deluge that was created looked almost real. The story goes that Mandakini (Sara Ali Khan) is a feisty and happy go lucky young girl living in Kedarnath with her family. Her father is the local priest, and the plot goes rumbling into action as soon as she falls in love with the local pithoo who is also a Muslim – Mansoor ( Sushant Singh Rajput). The internal storm of lovers keeps brewing and meanwhile what is anticipated, the greater storm, is unknown of. The entire holy land is taken down by a crippling flood.

The usual love story:

The love story isn’t something that is seen first time – it is the regular boy loves girl kind of tale. The boost that the story gets is from the climatic conditions and the deluge. Screenplay might have its own ups and downs, but Sara’s performance stands out as tough as the crest of the wave throughout. There’s valleys and picturesque scenes, and Tushar’s drone camera captures all of that – making the visuals crisp and tempting. There also seems to be a lively ecosystem existing – local Muslim boys pray to the Hindu deities, and there’s slight undercurrent discussion of the unfair settings of the urbanization that has taken place.

Sara has Mandakini reminds you strongly of her mother – and you couldn’t help notice the similarities. Sushant does an underplay to support her probably – but that’s most of it there. Hardly any songs grip attention other than Namo Namo and Amit Trivedi has burnt the fire there. Overall, the movie is a good and entertaining watch, and is recommended to watch.
