Love is Love Which Alters When it Alteration Finds

Vetran Bhajan singer Anoop Jalota’s entry in Big Boss has created an unusual sensation on social networking platforms,  this time, ironically,  it is not for the right obvious reason for which people know him. It is infact his new found lovey- dovey relationship with the youthful lass which has taken the internet by storm.

It has been past three days and every ten minute what’s App, Facebook and Instagram is being flooded with some new mocking message. All are about conventionally unheroic, man’s ability to hunt the heroine kind of material, miss 27, Jasleen Matharu .Whoever she is,  a singer, performer or an actor, her instagram account with 73.7k , could not do for her what gelling with Jalota did for sure.

Some Big Boss devotees of every season are of the view that this farce looking fabricated drama is nothing but a promotional gimmick to increase the TRP of the programme. At the same time they strongly feel that it is their moral duty to   leave a passing  remark on the propinquity by showing their concern for the societal unadulterated value system; Jalota’s individual morality quotient; patriarchal privileges enjoyed by men etc.

Quite engrossingly, this amusing- affair  reincarnates the long lost bhajan-singer to a macho man. Not only he, but marching towards retirement men of sixty and plus have seemed to regain their lost faith in love and romance. The forwarded what’s App messages and retweets with overloaded smilies say so. No wonder, the companies will wait for him to come out of the door of Big Boss only to endorse their products which proclaim various metamorphoses for a  kicky life.

This unputdownable love tale has also created space for older woman-young boy vs older man-young girl relationships and their predicamental aftermath. it’s interesting to note when people come up with the notion that a few years here and there is all right and they immediately cite the names of a few successful couples but a huge gap for them is a gross thing and of course! here too, they have a list of failure fables to prove their point.

Interestingly, there is no dearth of cases to take inspiration from. In both kind of situations,  according to the observant people, it is only the chemistry that works and undoubtedly it is only the physics that seem to fail the aspiring lovers.

A friend, with a great sense of humour, upon hearing Jalota kind of tittle-tattle always said “na umra ki seema ho, na janm ka ho bandhan”. Today, Shakespeare dare not hum before Jalota  “Love is not love which alters it when alteration finds” Anyway, no matter, how ludicrous Jalota- Jasleen pairing may look, the fact remains that this is not happening for the first time not even this is the last. People with pulsating hearts and happiness hormone will continue to add spice to the otherwise monotonous life of ‘we the people of India’. It’s more so with the people of entertainment industry as they take the world entertainment too seriously.
