The most anticipated movie Manto’s trailer was released on the occasion of Independence Day. Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Manto, based on the life of Saadat Hasan Manto, Directed by Nandita Das, the film has already been selected for Cannes Film Festival and Toronto International Film Festival amongst many others. Trailer is out and one can easily say that it was certainly worth the wait. The trailer has court room conversation in the beginning, where he is being questioned about his style of writing, and he explains that his stories are nothing but mirrors for society to look itself. Whatever he writes just a reflection of society.

If we talk about Manto’s life, the trailer delves into the philosophy of Manto and how he wrote about his female characters. Manto was often charged with obscenity just because of his unapologetic writing and the film will explore the same as well. In the film, Manto is questioned that if he wants to enjoy the freedom of expression then he must understand the responsibilities of a writer as well. Manto was of the belief that the truth must be spoken out loud, even if it makes one uncomfortable.
As far as trailer is concerned ,proper justice has been given to Manto, Nandita Das has taken somuch efforts to complete the film it shows through the trailer, each frame, dialogue, music, casting, everything is as appropriate as it requires. Saahat Hasan Manto has great fans, this film will be set to release on 21st Sept 2018 . Fans of Manto will not be disappointed that is for sure.
