Scary, Funny with pinch feminism

Scary, Funny with pinch feminism

Stree’ this is the first feminist film in nature, i do not say that this is the first as story is being centred around female character, in previously we also had some female protagonists in the films. but Stree differs from them because it is being portrayed about female ghost, and story is based on real incident. since the beginning of the film you are glued to your seats, you will not feel to move a bit while watching it.

after such a long time bollywood is having horror comedy, this has been done in very unique way. a woman’s fear, lack of safety, suffocation, and constant degradation, gets transposed to men. all of ther own doings turned to them, as it like reap as you saw, this idiom is perfectly suitalble for men in the film.

the story revolves around a feable about a witch, who knocks door at night. All these life lessons are offered in the guise of a horror-comedy. Tables are turned for four days a year during a religious festival when the men of Chanderi are unable to venture out in the dark, get advised by their wives and mothers to return home early and keep the doors and windows of the house locked and to not pay heed to stalkers and strangers. Sounds familiar, right? All the precautions owe to the potential danger of getting abducted by a mysterious female spirit who leaves only one clue behind — the clothes of the claimed men.

the director did it well, as all his team binds together to give their best, right from casting, music, lighting, art, you will get real feel of scariness without loosing gasps of it. it shows quality and team work. performances also anoher added feather in the cap. Shraddha did it well.   Rajkumar Rao again proved his splendid performance after his performance from Bareli Ki Barfi. That I like the most.

Stree is real a good mixture of horror comedy. it is completely madcap. don’t try to miss “Stree”
