Doesn’t the synopsis of the Fishing Impossible remind you of Bollywood movies like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Dil Chahta Hai? It definitely does and in a very beautiful way. The plot resonates with the blockbuster movie Dil Chahta Hai and is a quirky rendition of it.

Sony BBC Earth has given the title song of Dil Chahta Hai an eccentric twist in a clip of the show that has been highly appreciated and loved by many, including the ace composer and singer, Shankar Mahadevan.

In a statement to the IANS, Shankar Mahadevan said, “What an interesting twist! The ‘Fishing Impossible’ version of the song brought back good memories. It’s great to know that the song resonates with people even after all these years.” He is elated that his song, which became an instant hit in 2001, still resonates with the youth and the positive response it has fetched in Fishing Impossible.

Starring Aamir Khan, Akshaye Khanna, and Saif Ali Khan, Dil Chahta Hai was like a breath of fresh air and fetched many laurels. Though it was released in 2001, the movie still gets us glued to the TV whenever it is aired and we can’t seem to get enough of it. Fishing Impossible can perhaps take you back to those Dil Chahta Hai moments and even force you to pack your bags and hit the road with your buddies.
