Simmba – A CUB of Singham..?
Rohit Shetty has always been a director of masses. His typical bollywood Action masala films have been ‘sure shot’ box office hits. His movie is a promise of sheer entertainment. Buy popcorns, sit back and relax.
South Indian action and Marathi touch to the characters is the style statement by Mr. Shetty. Singham and Singham returns are simply those ferocious movies where we as Indians expect a cop to fight with the evil and win at the end. These two movies definitely satisfy our hunger to win over those bad men with big bang punches, guns and flying cop vehicles.
Cop with an aura of Godman is shown in Shetty’s movies. He can survive through any condition and break any barrier. Ajay Devgan aka Bajirao Singham has won the hearts with his power packed performances in both the movies and left us wanting to see more of that brave super cop.
Rohit Shetty is back with his new ‘cop oriented’ story and after watching the trailer it definitely gives us ‘आता माझी सटकली’ feeling. First of all the trailer tells you everything. The story of the movie is out and we know everything now. It leaves us a question mark for the viewers as, for what do I have to watch this flick..?
Okay..!! Considering yourself a huge Ranveer Singh fan you will obviously want to see his movie but let us warn you that he is not the cop you expect. He is the one with very low self esteem. As the trailer says he has become a police for his own selfish motives. He works directly for the villain and gets paid for all wrongdoings.
Fine..! But he changes. Changes for good. Of course, he is the hero after all. No wonder, something happens so bad with his own loved one and that changes him into the super-cop. Here’s the cub of Singham – Simmba..!!
Same mahindra scorpio’s, same stunts and same Bollywood ‘gundagardi’. Ranveer must be in awe of Bajirao Singham otherwise he wouldn’t have chosen to repeat the character of a police which has been taken in hall of fame already by Ajay Devgan. Ranveer’s Marathi Accent in the movie reminds you of Bajirao’s character from Bajirao Mastani movie.
According to the trailer Simmba has nothing new to offer apart from a change of a character. You will get to see all fresh faces like Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan, Sonu Sood and Siddharth Jadhav.
But papa has to come to the rescue of his child and so does our original Singham. The trailer does end with that typical Singham tune and dashing entry of Ajay Devgan.
Sonu Sood has become new south movies villain and he looks the same here too. Sara Ali Khan appears for few seconds as a glam doll. And Vaidehi Parshurami is actually a better face than her but appears to be a wasted talent in the trailer.
But not to worry as its A ‘Rohit Shetty film’ so it’s gonna cash at the box office. This time KJo is also the one big name connected with the movie. The goodwill of Bajirao Singham will surely give this movie a boost..! Ranveer fans keep your fingers crossed for your hero.. Let the cub rule like his father.
