Bollywood is flooded with #MeToo movement in these days. Many big names from the industry have been accused of sexual harassment. Tanushri Dutta has raised her voice through #MeToo movement, by accusing eminent senior actor Nana Patekar for behaviour misconduct during her song shoot at ‘Horn Ok Please’.  She expressed her grief, tortured after 10 years. But senior Actor Nana Patekar prefers to keep silence on this issue. Once he declared to clear out all issues but his lawyers said these allegations are not viable so he should keep his mouth mum. Many Bollywood stars stood to support Tanushri Dutta. Some Bollywood actors stood support to Senior actor Nana Patekar. Truth yet to be unfolded.

After Tanushri, slowly slowly many Bollywood personalities, actors, journalists showed up dare and came up with #MeToo to express their stories. After Senior actor Nana Patekar has been accused, Senior actor Alok Nath, Sajid Khan, Vikas Vel, Subhash Kapoor, Subhash Ghai are the few other names added recently. This is sort of explosion in the Bollywood industry. These allegations make some actors to step down from their current projects. After such accusation on Subhash Kapoor, Amir Khan has stepped down as producer of Gulshan Kumar’s Biopic Mogul. Recently he has clearly mentioned in his tweet ‘“At Aamir Khan Productions, we have always had a zero-tolerance policy towards sexual misconduct and predatory behaviour of any kind… Two weeks ago, when traumatic #MeToo stories began emerging, it was brought to our attention that someone we were about to begin work with has been accused of sexual misconduct.”

Akshay Kumar also stopped shooting of ‘Houseful’ series. Unless all these allegations will be cleared on Sajid, he will not start shooting of ‘Houseful 4’. He is in support of #MeToo.

Some Bollywood celebrities support #MeToo movement some support accused celebrities. Konkana Sen Sharma also strongly condemned women sexually abused. ‘As woman and filmmakers, we come together to support the #MeTooIndia movement. We are in complete solidarity with the women who have come forward with honest accounts of harassment and assault. Our respect and admiration to them as their courage has started a revolution of welcome change.  We are here to spread awareness to help, create a safe and equal atmosphere for all in the workplace. We have also taken a stand to not work with proven offenders. We urge all our peers in the industry to do the same.”  With her 11 filmmakers supported #MeToo. Alankrita Shrivastava, Gauri Shinde, Kiran Rao, KonKona Sen Sharma, Meghana Gulzar, Nandita Das, Nitya Mehra, Reema Kagti, Ruchi Narain, Shonali Bose, Zoya Akhtar.
